Hi love,
I wore a sunflower in my hair yesterday just for you. And guess what, missy? You never cease to amaze me. The impact you made is so profound that it followed me here to DC! As I was walking to my class, a guy stopped me and asked me why I was wearing a sunflower, so I told him about you...and it turns out the reason he asked was because he knew of you as well, he graduated from Orono last spring. I can't explain it my dear, but you have inspired people half-way across the country. I miss you so much it hurts sometimes, but I know that you're having a blast being one of God's angels now. I smile up at the sky sometimes knowing that you're smiling right back. Love you like crazy.
Love, Allie

Today I was thinking of you as I skated a round of dance tests for two of my adult students this morning...in fact, every time I dance, I think of you. In a way, I think this is the greatest gift you have given me - the fact that you are so tied to something that we both love. In that way, I get this beautiful reminder of you every time I do my job and my own skating...and I would have it no other way. I like to think that you get to share the successes I and my students are enjoying. :)
I'm getting a few skaters to the same levels you achieved now, and they are developing that same dislike of the European Waltz and will soon get to experience all the joy of that Tango you enjoyed so much...we'll see if they can channel all your expression and beauty when they skate it!
I miss you so much, every day. I'm grateful for all the sunflowers you have brought to my life, and I look forward to more of them to come - you did promise to keep an eye on me, after all!
I'm competing this year at Adult Nationals, and this is really my first time saying that publicly in any way. My partner Brad and I will be skating to music from "The Fountain" for our free dance, and I hope I can get your inspiration on a dress design! The music reminds me of you, and of all the things we all experienced when you were taken from our lives. The main piece of our music is taken from a song called "Death is the Road to Awe"...it was the song that comforted me when you passed away. I hope you found your awe, Leslie...I believe with all my heart that you did. I'll be wearing a sunflower when I compete for you in April. :)
Miss you always, dear. I promise you I'm living fiercely, just as you reminded us all to do.
With Love -
Sarah.

I know that it is to late to say I am sorry I didn't take the time to come see you one last time, but how were we to know that you would go so soon, we thought you had slayed the dragon and won the day. I miss you so much and with all of my heart I hope that you have made it home and that some day I will see you again. You and I shared a love of sunflowers, but now that you are gone I know that their happy faces are you watching over me. Every day I think of you.

Dear Leslie,
Every day is sad without you, however, today especially we remember your strength, your spirit , courage and grace. You changed and touched the lives of so many friends and teamates. I'd like to think that a piece of your spirit "lives on fiercely " in all of us.

Dearest Leslie,
We miss you so much. You are the bravest person i have ever met and you have changed me in so many ways.
Sunflowers are the greatest reminder of you and it is so good to know that you are in a better place. As my choir teacher said when her mother passed away "every life is complete", and i truly believe that about you
Love forever and always,
Stephanie Fiore
